Which app and company this covers
This page covers PetPort, the pet passport and health-record app for pet parents, published on Google Play as cloud.petport.mobile by NHD Lifestyle Private Limited, Vadodara, Gujarat, India. It also covers the same account used in PetPort Partner, the app for clinics, groomers, boarding, trainers and shelters.
Delete it yourself, in the app
This is the fastest route and needs nothing from us. Do it before uninstalling, because uninstalling on its own does not delete anything held on our servers.
- Open PetPort and make sure you are signed in.
- Go to the Profile tab, the last one on the right of the bottom bar.
- Scroll to the bottom and tap Delete account.
- Read the confirmation and confirm. Your account is closed and signed out immediately, and the 30-day schedule below starts from that moment.
If you have already uninstalled the app
PetPort has no pet-parent website to sign in to, so if the app is gone from your phone there is no self-serve button we can offer you here. Write to us instead and we will process the deletion for you.
Send your request to
info@petport.cloudInclude the mobile number your account is registered to. Do not send us a password, a one-time code, or any payment detail; we never need them and will never ask for them.
We will verify that the request comes from the account holder before doing anything irreversible, then confirm by e-mail once it is recorded. We aim to complete verification within 7 days, and in any case within the 30 days the DPDP Act allows. The reversible window described below then runs as normal.
Three situations where we have to refuse
The app tells you which one applies and what to do about it. None is permanent. Clear it and the deletion goes through.
You are the only owner of a business workspace
If you are the sole owner of a clinic, pet business or shelter on PetPort, closing your account would lock its staff out of their own records. Add another owner, or close the workspace, then delete.
You have unpaid invoices
An invoice that has been issued and not settled does not disappear because an account closed. Settle it first.
A booking you have paid for is not settled yet
If money for a booking is still in flight between you and the provider, we wait for it to land rather than cancel mid-payment. PetPort never holds your money, so there is no balance here for us to hand back.
What stops immediately
All of this happens the moment you confirm, on the same day.
You are signed out everywhere
Your account stops working, every session on every device is revoked, and you cannot sign back in while the deletion is pending.
Upcoming bookings are cancelled
Future appointments are cancelled and your place in any clinic queue is released. Where a provider's late-cancellation policy applies, the fee is recorded on the cancellation and is not charged to you.
Reminders and messages stop
Vaccine and medication reminders on pets only you own are cancelled, and anything already queued for you is stopped. No further WhatsApp message, e-mail or push notification is sent.
Subscriptions end
An active PetPort Pro subscription is cancelled outright rather than left to run to the end of its period, so no autopay mandate survives.
Sharing access is withdrawn
You are removed from your household and from any business workspace you belonged to, so nothing further is shared with you or in your name.
Your public pet pages come down
For pets nobody else in your household still holds, the public passport page a QR scan would open is switched off, and any active lost-pet alert is cancelled.
Then 30 days, and you can change your mind
Your data is held untouched for 30 days. That is deliberate: a tap made by accident, or by someone who picked up your phone, should be reversible. To undo it, enter your mobile number in the app as if signing in. Once the one-time code is confirmed we offer you a restore rather than a login.
Restoring returns your account and your sharing access. It does not return cancelled bookings, because the provider has already been told the slot is free, and it does not restart a subscription, because re-charging your card off the back of an undo would not be right.
What happens after the 30 days
A daily job then anonymises your record. This is an anonymisation rather than an erasure, and the difference is worth stating plainly.
Your identity is overwritten
Your mobile number, e-mail address, city, state, pincode and profile photo are cleared, your name is replaced with “Deleted user”, and your login credentials are replaced with a placeholder. The number is released, so it can be registered again.
Third-party contacts are overwritten
Emergency contact names and phone numbers on your pets are overwritten. Those numbers belong to people who never had an account here to ask on their own behalf, so they are removed outright.
Your pets are retired, not erased
Pets left with no remaining household member are marked inactive and taken off every public page. The underlying records are retained, because PetPort never destroys a record, and because a clinic's record of having treated an animal is that clinic's obligation to keep rather than ours to delete.
After this point the deletion cannot be reversed. We can no longer identify you, so we can no longer restore anything to you. Export whatever you want to keep before you start.
What we keep, and why
Being straightforward about this is more use to you than a clean-sounding promise. None of it is used to contact you, to profile you, or for any commercial purpose, and after anonymisation none of it points back to you by name or number.
Clinical records
Vaccinations, medical records, prescriptions, lab reports, diagnoses and weight history are retained. They are a treating clinic's statutory record as much as yours, and an animal's vaccination history is what a future vet or a rescuer most needs. They stay attached to the pet, which is no longer publicly reachable and no longer linked to your identity.
Photos and documents
Photos, video clips and uploaded documents are retained in our cloud storage alongside the pet record they belong to, rather than destroyed. If you want a particular file removed, ask us and we will remove it.
Consent and data-access logs
Records of what you consented to, and of who looked at your data, cannot be edited or removed by design; that is what makes them worth anything. They are retained in anonymised form for audit under the DPDP Act 2023.
Financial records
Invoices and ledger entries for payments already made are retained for the period Indian tax and accounting law requires. We cannot delete the record of a transaction that took place.
Fraud and safety records
Where an account is linked to an open fraud or abuse investigation, the minimum necessary record is retained until that matter closes.
If you want something in these categories removed and you believe you have the right to have it removed, write to us and say so. We would rather work through the specific case with you than point at a policy.
Memorial profiles
A memorial page is not removed by an account deletion. If you want a pet's memorial taken down, or kept online after you close your account, say so in your request and we will do that. We will neither remove one nor keep one without being asked.
Questions, or something went wrong
Write to info@petport.cloud. The same address reaches our Grievance Officer under the DPDP Act 2023 if you are unhappy with how a request was handled.
